Jonathan and Megan were high school friends and their romance began once they graduated from Ballard High School. When we first met I was excited to learn that they were planning on incorporating lots of colors into their wedding. I love for my images to be vibrant and bursting with colors. The bridal party each wore a different color which made the pictures so interesting and accentuated all of their colorful personalities.
The couple chose two of Louisville’s premier wedding venues for their special day that offer very different distinctive styles. The ceremony was held in the Beaux Arts room at the historic Henry Clay. Wedding photos here are gorgeous with the ballroom’s high stain glass ceiling, white columns, and gold chiavari chairs making this one of Louisville’s most elegant venues. As soon as the doors of the ballroom opened revealing Megan in her beautiful dress Jonathan caught a glimpse and was immediately brought to tears. The couple exchanged their own written vowels and the officiate was a friend which made the ceremony even more meaningful. It was so apparent how much these two loved each other.
Megan and Jonathan chose The Gillespie to for their reception which offers an Art Deco style with a grand ballroom that is accented with their signature silver branches reaching up the columns to the mezzanine above. The couple danced into the reception with colorful sunglasses ready to get the party started. The sun was still shinning outside but you would not have know it from the huge dance party going on inside.
