It is such a beautiful time of year to take engagement photos with everything in bloom. It is an even better time to get married, which is exactly what Zachary and Tessa are doing this Saturday at The Olmstead. We had such a great time last week walking around Anchorage snapping photos and talking about the upcoming wedding and their fabulous European honeymoon (I am so jealous). I am super excited about working this weekend with Jerri Payne from The Olmstead, ICVideo, and Jack Gill with Dance Party Unlimited. Can't wait!! So happy that they chose me to be their Louisville wedding photographer.
I had the pleasure of spending a fall evening photographing Melanie and Bryan's Louisville engagement photos at Bernheim Forest. The couple wanted their picture to be full of all the colors of fall and there is no better place than Bernheim Forest. Melanie and Bryan are going to wed next fall at Huber's Winery and eMotion image has teamed up with ICVideo to capture their special day. Below are just a few of my favorites from the engagement photo shoot.
Meet Becca and Mitch. These two are getting married this September and will be having their reception at the fabulous Foundry at Glassworks. Recently, we had a great time capturing their Louisville engagement photos. We were so lucky to have chosen the one week that these beautiful yellow flowers were blooming in Cherokee Park. It was quite the popular spot with Louisville photographers and artist painting on easels. Another spot Becca was super excited about stopping at was the warehouse right next to the Icehouse. It has great textures with all the brick and the old weathered green dock doors. It may sound rough but it photographs really well. We ended the evening across the river with the skyline of the city as the backdrop. It doesn’t get much better than that!! It was a great evening.
I am really looking forward to the wedding not just because these two are so much fun, but they have also booked one of Louisville premier wedding venues, The Foundry at Glassworks. Check out a recent photo of this great space below.
The Foundry at Glassworks is Louisville’s newest venue and event space located on West Market in downtown. With nearly 7,000 square feet, The Foundry at Glassworks is well suited for any type of corporate or private event. The Foundry is great for parties of 50 to 350; with dynamic lighting to create intimate spaces or a grand celebration. With an open catering and bar policy, The Foundry is the perfect location for any event.
Decor created by Paul Latham and Alex Hunnicutt with Fleur de Lis Events & Design, who just happens to be the two that will be designing Becca and Mitch's wedding. It's going to be gorgeous!!
Recently, the grand opening of The Foundry at Glassworks unveiled their new modern event space located in downtown Louisville. Wedding professionals were invited to tour the space and enjoy delicious baked goods from Stellar Sweets, cocktails, and given the opportunity to socialize with fellow vendors. Paul Latham and Alex Hunnicutt with Fleur de Lis Events & Design created a few amazing displays that were more so works of art, once again showcasing their amazing creativity.

I am pleased to announce that Louisville’s newest venue The Foundry at Glassworks chose my picture of their space as their initial marketing campaign. I am extremely honored. If you pick up a copy of the latest Louisville Bride Magazine you will find their full page ad with my picture J
Typically as soon as the question is popped, the next question and first step in wedding planning is “What Louisville wedding venues are available?” Brides and groom are lucky that are so many great Louisville wedding venues that offer a variety of styles, capacity, and amenities. And now the new event space at The Foundry at Glassworks is wowing brides and booking very quickly.
The Foundry located on West Market Street boast nearly 7000 square feet with capacity up to 350 guests and unlike the majority of Louisville wedding venues it has an open catering and bar policy. Included in your rental is tables, either black or white linens, and crystal clear chiavari chairs. In addition to this great space, you have the option of renting the rooftop for a beautiful ceremony overlooking the city skyline. There is no need to ask your guest to travel between two venues. Your ceremony and reception can all take place at one event space in the heart of downtown Louisville. Wedding photographers are going to love shooting at this facility. Without getting to technical or boring Alex & Paul with Fleur de Lis Events & Design created this space to be a blank canvas with the ceiling and walls being white. This is wonderful for perfectly lit photographs that brides and grooms are going to love.
I highly recommend adding The Foundry at Glassworks to your list of Louisville wedding venues to consider. Contact Amanda Hunicutt today to schedule an appointment to tour Louisville’s newest wedding venue.
If you Google "Louisville Wedding Photographers" you will find pages upon pages of wedding photographers in Louisville to choose, which is why I am so glad that Charlene and Scott chose me to capture their amazing wedding. Charlene & Scott choose The Walnut Street Baptist Church for their ceremony because they were looking for a beautiful downtown church that had to have a center aisle. Millennium Events designed an elegant alter with an arch constructed of vines accented with hanging votive candles. The bridesmaids wore vibrant purple dresses with blue sashes, wore peacock feathers in their hair, and carried bouquets of green flowers to compliment the feathers. It made for great bridal party pictures after the ceremony in front of the Walnut Street Baptist Church and we made a quick stop at the plaza at the Aegon Building to capture a few more before heading to the reception.
Scott & Charlene were one of the first few couple to have their reception at the new Loft at The Gillespie. Wedding photographers always enjoy capturing photos at this premier venue with an Art Deco style of architecture and now there is also an upstairs event space that boast a more modern style with exposed brick, hanging lanterns, and columns. Charlene & Scott worked with Millennium Events to design a decor that wowed all the guests at the wedding. The Gillespie Loft was decked out with a cocktail area with white leather couches, blue uplighting washed the walls and columns, the centerpieces sparkled with crystals and glowed with candlelight, and the kids enjoyed a a table stacked high with candy. My favorite was the gorgeous four tiered cake with a beautiful bird perched a top.
Marshal Yancey with Yancey Entertainment Services was the perfect MC for the evening with his smooth baritone voice. Once it came time for the dance floor to open up Marshall had the floor packed. Scott & Charlene made a great decision in choosing ICVideo to film their entire day giving them all the sights and sounds to relive. Wedding videography is a great way to compliment the photographs to tell the complete story of the day.
